Unusually heavy rainfall has led to severe flooding in many countries in East and Central Africa. So far, more than 3 million people have been affected. In some cases, almost entire towns have fled, and for many people the floods come on top of ongoing conflict — making an already difficult situation even worse. USAID is responding in South Sudan, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, the Central African Republic, Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and the Republic of Congo.
